For me riding bikes and running in the hills has always been something I’ve just loved doing. I do it for the pure enjoyment of being in the hills, alone or with friends.
Inspired by my day job as a Sports Photographer, often on the finish line of races, 2012 saw me step up my training and enter a few races. I started small, by entering the 2014 Marathon De Sables, a short run through the Moroccan Desert, with this in mind I’ve entered a few more races to help me get fitter and faster.
Looking forward to 2013, my key events will be the Strathpuffer 24 Hour Mountain Bike Race in the North of Scotland in January, the Lakeland 50 in July and if I’m successful through the ballot the ‘Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix’ which is part of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc race series in August.
